Download from here and extract into a directory of your choice using your favorite ZIP program. e.g. WINZIP or PKZIP.
The program is written in MS Visual Basic V5 which means that you need the dynamic library Msvbvm50.dll on your system for it to work. You should find this in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\.
If you don't have a copy, download it from here and extract it either to the HWriter folder or C:\Windows\System\ as you prefer.
Contains Msvbvm50.dll.
Some Windows 98 systems don't have Comctl32.ocx, Comdlg32.ocx or Vb5stkit.dll. The symptoms of the first two missing file are clear, the third one just says "File not Found" as soon as the program starts. You should find these file in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ as well.
If you need them, download from here and extract them either to the HWriter folder or C:\Windows\System\ as you prefer.
Contains Comctl32.ocx, Comdlg32.ocx, Vb5stkit.dll and Tabctl32.ocx.
Some Windows 95 systems give an "Unexpected Error" message. This is caused by the files Comctl32.ocx and Comdlg32.ocx being out of date. Locate the files in C:\Windows\System\ and using Right-Mouse Properties, obtain the version number. It will probably be 5.01.4319. The copies in the ZIP above are Version 6. You will have to replace the old versions (a copy in the HWriter folder is insufficient). A further clear message is given if Tabctl32.ocx is out of date.
