In the name of God amen the twentieth daye of July in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred and three I Nicholous White of the pish of St. Ewe in the county of Cornwall husbandman Sicke of body but of perfect memory God be praysed make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge. Impr. I comende my Soule into the hands of God my maker and redeemer hopinge assuredly through the only merites of Jesus Christ my Saviour to be ye taker of everlasting life. And I comende my body to the earth where it is made. First --- ------ my ---- ---- whome I ---- my ---- in the case of ---- resisting all offer ----- I ---- my ----- unto her living -- her in the blessed state of honorable Wedlocke.

I therefore give and bequeath unto her for the terme of her life the occupation of my house and tenement wherin I now dwell And as for my goods and chattells after the payment of my debts I give and bequeath the remainder therof unto Thomas White my Sonne Elizabeth White and ------[?] White my Daughters to be equally divided between them at the discretion of my Executors and I do make and ordaine Petronell my wife my Executrix. And I do ordaine Thomas Henwood and Alexander ------- [?] my -------- [?] And I will tah their resonable costes and charges be only ------ to every one of ---- of my whole ------ from tyme to tyme not ------- for their travel. [Letter of Administration and an Inventory for James White late of the parish of St.Erth in Cornwall. Both dated September 1614. It is assumed that this was shortly after his death as it was normal for Inventories to be taken quite soon after decease. Both documents are in Latin, so not able to transcribe.]

In the name of God Amen I Nicholas White of the Parish of St.Just in the County of Cornwall Blacksmith being sick and weak of body but of a sound and perfect memory (Blessed be to God) doo make and ordaine this my last will and testam.t in manner and forme following.

Ffirst I bequeth my Soul to God who gave it hoping thro the missells of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to ----- free pardon for all my sins and my body to be buryed by ------ and Christian Buryall according to the discretion of my Executors herein and hereafter named.

Also I give unto my Son William White the sume of one shilling to be paid him immediately after my decease.

Also I give unto my Daughter Honour the Wife of Richard Borlase one shilling to be paid her immediately after my decease.

Also I give unto my Daughter Elizabeth the sume of one shilling to be paid unto her immediately after my decease.

Also I give unto my Daughter Ann the sume of one shilling to be paid unto her immediately after my decease.

Also I give unto my Daughter Jane the sume of one shilling to be paid unto her immediately after my decease.

Also I give unto my Daughter Jone the sume of one shilling to be paid unto her immediately after my decease.

Also I give unto my Daughter Mary the sume of one shilling to be paid unto her immediately after my decease.

Also I give unto my Son Nathan all that my shop and materriall thereunto belonging and also one dole of Tyn Stuff and adventure immediately after my decease.

The house garden and smithy I now live in after my decease to Ann my Wife for and during the time ------ ------- ------- ------- ------ of the original lease together with the land lease

----- the said Nathan building and erecting a new dwelling house upon the smithy for his sisters for their use as long as they continue unmarryed.

All the rest of my lands houses goods and chattels and cattle whatsoever (Not heretofore given by me) I give unto Ann my Wife who I do herein nominate to be full and sole Executrix She paying my debts and legasise. Revoking, and making void all other wills and testaments formerly made by me whatsoever. In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale the Eighteenth day of October Anno Dom.1711

In the Name of God, Amen. I Nicholas White of the Parish of St.Just. Being weak in Body but of Sound good and perfect Memory (Blessed be God therefore) do this Eleventh day of May in the twenty first year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third King of Great Britain France and Ireland Defender of the Faith, and in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty one Make and Publish this my last will and Testament in Manner and form following. (that is to say) Imprimis, I commend my soul into the Hands of Almighty God, who gave it to me, and my Body to the Earth from whence it came, in hopes of a Joyfull Resurrection, through the Merits of my Saviour Jesus Christ; And as for that wordly Estate wherewith it has pleased Almighty God to Bless me: I Dispose thereof as follows---

Firts;Item= I give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Jane White the sum of ffifty shillings to be paid her by my Executor & Executrix Joyntly between them hereinafter Mentioned and Named at the end of four Years next after my Decease.

Item=I give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Allice White the sum of ffifty shillings to be paid her by my Executor & Executrix Joyntly between them when she shall attain the age of Twenty one Years.

Item=I give and Bequeath unto my Son Richard White the sum of ffifty shillings to be paid him by my Executor & Executrix Joyntly between them when he shall attain the age of Twenty one Years.

Item=I give and Bequeath unto my Son William White the sum of ffifty shillings to be paid him by my Executor & Executrix Joyntly between them when he shall attain the age of Twenty one Years.

Item=I give and Bequeath unto my Son Nicholas White my Executor herein after mentioned; my two Smith=Shops the one on the Tenement of Botallack and the other on the Tenement of Tregeseal adjoining to my now Dwelling House together with all the stock intrade and all the working tools and utensils thereunto belonnging Together with all Credits due on the Account Books: And also all my Tin adventures and all my Tin and Tin Stuff now at grass or in Stamps oe elsewhere First paying unto the Purser or Pursess all such cost or costs as shall appear due on the same if any be.

Item=I give and Bequeath all the rest Residue and Remainder of my Messuages Lands Houses Stamping Mill and Household furniture goods and Chattles of what sort or kind soever; that is not heretofore given and Bequeathed; unto my Son Nicholas White and unto my Daughter Mary White: Whome I hereby appoint Joynte Executor & Executrix, of this my last will and testament.
