Will

In the Name of God Amen I William Renfree of the parish of Perranuthnoe in the County of Cornwall Yeoman considering the Uncertainty of this mortal Life being in good Health and of sound and disposing Mind Memory and Understanding Do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament, Hereby revoking and making null and void all fformer wills by me at any time heretofore made.

Imprim. I commend my Soul to Almighty God and my Body to the Earth to be decently buried at the Discretion of my Executors herein after named.

Item, I give and bequeath to Humphrey Cole son of Humphrey Cole the younger of the Town of Marazion in the said County, Gent. one Guinea, To my Brother Joseph Renfree one Guinea and to my cousin John Renfree/Son of Mary Renfree,widow/ one Guinea. These Lagacies to be paid within one month aftre my daeth. I also give and bequeath to William Bagwill the younger and John Bagwill sons of William Bagwill of Totnes in the County of Devoncherier one guinea each to be paid within one month after my death.

Item, I give and bequeath unto my Mother Honour Renfree one guinea to be paid her within one month after my death.

All the Rest of my Goods Chattles Rights Creditts and Effects whatsoever and of which nature kind or sort soever the same be, I do hereby give and bequeath to me dearly beloved wife Jane Renfree whom I do hereby make constitute and appoint sole Executrix of this my Will, She paying my Debts Legacies and ffunerall expenses, in order to do which I do desire order and direct that immediately after my death she the said Jane Renfree shall sell and dispose of such parts of my Goods and Chattells as John Penneek of Gulval in the said County Clerke and the said Humphrey Cole the younger shall think adviseable and proper, And I do hereby ffurther desire her not to do or transact any thing relating to this my Will or any other matter without the advice or assistance of them the said John Penneek and Humphrey Cole the younger whom I do request and earnestly desire to advise and assist her in the best manner they can.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my Name and affixed my Seal the Tenth day fo April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty. 1760

In the Name of God, Amen.

I Richard Remfry of the Parish of Saint Micheal Penkivell in the County of Cornwall, Mason; being at present in Good Health but duly considering the uncertainty of this mortal Life and certainty of Death, and being of Sound Mind and Memory blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make, ordain and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say),

First, I give and bequeath to my three Sons, Thomas remfry, Cyprian Remfry and William Remfry the sum of five shillings each, I also give and bequeath to my four Daughters, Ann Remfry, Charity Remfry, Mary Remfry and Frances Remfry the like sum of five shillings each.which said several Legacies or sums of money. I Will and Order, shall be paid to the said respective Legatees within one Month after my Decease, by my Executrix herein aftre named. And Lastly as to all the Rest, Residue and Remainder of my Personal Estate, Goods and Chattells of what kind or nature soever, in whose hands, custody or possession soever they be within the Kingdom of England; I give and bequeath the same to my beloved Wife Mary Remfry, whome I hereby constitue and Appoint sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament. And I do hereby utterly disallow, revoke and disannul all and every other former Testaments Wills Legacies Bequeasts and Executors before named willed and bequeathed:- Ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Affixed my Seale the nineteenth day of June in the thirty seventh year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third, by the Grace of God of Great Britain, France and Ireland, King. Defender of the Faith and so forth and in the year of our Lord, One thousand seven hundred and ninety seven.

In the Name of God, Amen, I Mary Renfry of the Parish of Perranuthnoe in the County of Cornwall, Widow, being weak in Body but of sound and disposing memory and understanding, God be thanked for the same, do make this my last will and testament in manner and form as follows.

First I recommend my Soul to my most merciful God, and my Body to the Earth, there to be buried in such decent manner as my Executors here after be named shall think fit. And as touching such wordly Estate as God hath blessed me with I give and dispose of the same as followeth.

Imprimis I give to Elizabeth the wife of Mr. Henry Laity of the Parish of Perranuthnoe all the goods in the Little Room and in the Room over my Shop.

Item I give to Henry Laity junior, son of the aforesaid Mr.Henry Laity and Elizabeth his wife, one pound and one shilling a year, to be paid from the time of my Death till the Expiration of the Lease of my House and Estate, out of the Profits of which this Legacy is to be paid. Item I give to Davies Giddy of Tredrea Esq. and the Reverend Malachy Hitchins of St.Hilary Clerk, the House which I live in together with the Estate belonging in Trust for the following purposes, viz that, after they have paid my just debts funeral Expenses, and Legacy aforesaid, they divide the nett Produce of the Rents of the said House and Estate into two equal parts and pay one half to my son John Renfry, and the other half to Elizabeth Thompson, Daughter of the late Mr.William Thompson of the Borough of Helston by his wife Elizabeth, now the aforesaid Elizabeth Laity. And my Will further is that if my son John Renfry should die before the Expiration of the Lease by which the said House and Estate are held that then his son John should receive the half (of the Rents) which was before enjoyed by his Father. And if the said Elizabeth Thompson die before the Expiration of the said Lease then her half shall go to and be enjoyed by the said Elizabeth Laity her Mother during the remainder of the Lease.

Item I make the said Davies Giddy and Malachy Hitchins Executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all other wills at any time by me heretofore made, as witness my hand and seal this 12th. day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred.

Will

In the Name of God,Amen, I John Renfree of the Parish of Budock in the County of Cornwall, being weak of body, but of sound mind and memory, blessed be God for the same, therefore calling to mind the Mortality of my Body, and knowing that it is appointed unto all men, once to die, and after that the Judgement do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following/ that is to say/ First I give unto my Son John Renfree the sum of One shilling. Secondly I give unto my Son Philip Renfree the sum of One shilling. Thirdly I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Renfree the sum of Ten pounds of lawful Money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland cursent(?) in Great Britain, and it is also my Will that my said daughter shall live with her Mother, and take her house for her home, if she thinks proper and convenient so to do. Fourthly, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Hannah the Wife of Thomas Mitchell the sum of One shilling. Fifthly, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Jenny, the Wife of John Geach the sum of One shilling. Sixthly, I give unto my Granddaughter Mary Potter daughter of Wilmot and Matthew Potter the sum of Five pounds of like lawful money as aforesaid, to be paid her when she attains the age of Twenty one years, and my will is that she shall live with her Grandmother ( should she so long happen to live ) during the aforesaid term of Twenty one years, She behaving herself in a dutiful and obedient manner. Seventhly, I give and bequeath unto my Granddaughter Keziah Renfree the daughter of Francis and Jemima Geach deceased the sum of Five pounds of like lawful money as aforesaid to be paid her when she shall attain the age of twenty one years. Eighthly, I give and bequeath unto my Granddaughter Elizabeth Renfree daughter of Francis and Jemima Geach deceased the sum of Five pounds to be paid her when she shall attain the age of Twenty one years. Ninthly, It is also my will that if my said daughter Mary should die before my Wife then and in that case I will that her natural son James shall have the sum of Five pounds, to be paid at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named.Tenthly I give and bequeath unto my daughter Wilmot the Wife of Matthew Potter the sum of Five pounds. Eleventhly, I give and bequeath unto my Granddaughter Zebudah Renfree daughter of John and Jenny Geach the sum of Five pounds of like lawful money as aforesaid, and to be paid at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named.

Lastly, All the rest residue and remainder of my Goods and Chattells sum and sums of money and all and every my Estate and Effects whatsoever the same may be at the time of my decease, I give and bequeath the same unto my Beloved Wife Mary Renfree during her life, and after her decease I give the same unto my said above named six children to be equally divided between them, provided that my said Wife shall remain a widow and unmarried, but in case she shall happen to be married, then my Will is and I hereby declare that immediately on her being married, she shall give and deliver up all my Effects, On Oath, if required unto my said six children (viz) John Renfree, Philip Renfree, Mary Renfree, Wilmot wife of Matthew Potter, Hannah wife of Thomas Mitchell, and Jenny wife of John Geach to be equally divided between them share and share alike, and if either of my said children should happen to die, leaving any child or children lawfully begotten his or her share shall go to such child or children. And I do hereby constitute and appoint my said Wife Mary Renfree/ she paying all my just debts and funeral expenses/ Sole Executrix of this my last will and testament, and after the decease of my said Wife, then I constitute and appoint my two sons John Renfree and Philip Renfree to have the whole and sole management of this my last will and testament in behalf of themselves and my other children, they at the same time to pay themselves a reasonable compensation for their trouble, and I do hereby utterly revoke, disannul and make void all former and other Gifts Grants or wills made by me at any time heretofore and declare this and none other to be my last will and testament written on One sheet of paper, and signed with my Seal this thirteenth day of May in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eighteen.

Will

This is the last Will and testament of me Edward Remfrey of the Parish of Tywardreath in the County of Cornwall Miner made the twenty first day of September in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty. I give and bequeath unto my son Edward Remfrey and my Daughters Allice Remfrey, Jenefer Prior, Joanna Sandy, Elizabeth Harvey, Ann Remfrey and Mary Squire the sum of five shillings each to be paid to them within Fourteen days after my decease. I give and bequeath unto my wife Jenefer Remfrey all and singular my Household Furniture money securities for money and all and singular other my goods and chattels except as hereinafter are given devised and bequeathed/ subject to the payment of the several hereinbefore bequeathed legacies of five shillings and also subject to my jsut debts and funeral and testamentary expences/ for her own absolute use and benefit. I give devise and bequeath unto my said wife and her assigns during her natural life all and singular my Freehold and Leasehold Dwelling houses Gardens and premises whatsoever and wheresoever And from and after her decease I give decise and bequeath unto my said Daughter Allice Remfrey her executor administrators and assigns my two dwelling houses and premises with the appurtenances situate at Bodelva and now in the several occupations of Walter Prior and JohnHambly for all my estate and interest therein respectively And after the decease of my said wife I give devise and bequeath unto my said Daughter Mary Squire her heirs executors administrators and assigns my Dwelling house called the Backhouse with the appurtenances recently built by me for all my estate and interest therein. And I give devise and bequeath unto my said son Edward Remfrey his heirs executors administrators and assigns respectively all the rest residue and remainder of my said Freehold and Leasehold Dwelling houses Gardens and premises with the appurtenances so hereinbefore given devised and bequeathed to my said Wife for her life as aforesaid/ but from and after the decease of my said wife/ for all my estate and interest therein respectively. I appoint my said Wife Executor of this my Will and revoke all wills and testament any dispositions by me at any time heretofore made. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written.
