Indenture Dated 1867. The Anchorage, 5 Bunkers Hill, St Ives

This Indenture made the twenty-eighth day of September 1867 between William Roberts of Penzance in the county of Cornwall grocer and Anna Maria his wife. Elizabeth Jenkins Sydal of the borough of St Ives in the county of Cornwall aforesaid spinster Daniel Sydal Quick formerly of St Ives aforesaid but now of Liverpool Draper. Susan Forster Sydal of St Ives aforesaid spinster James Flamank of the city of Exeter in the county of Devon gentleman and Mary Parker his wife and Priscilla Flamank Richards of St Ives aforesaid widow of the one part and William Michell Jennings of St Ives aforesaid sailmaker of the other part. Whereas one Elizabeth Jenkins late of the borough of St Ives aforesaid widow of Richard Jenkins of the same place Gentleman being at the time of making her will and up to the time of her decease seized in fee of and in the hereditaments and premises hereafter described and intended to be hereby granted and conveyed by her will dated 3rd December 1823 devised inter alia the said hereditaments unto her granddaughter Anna Marie Jenkins Sydal, Elizabeth Jenkins Sydal, Joyce Jenkins Sydal, Susan Forster Sydal, Mary Parker Sydal and Priscilla Flamank Sydal, their heirs and asigns respectively for each as tenants in common and not as joint tenants and died without having altered or revoked her said will which was proved in Archdeconry Court of Cornwall about the month of May 1827 and whereas the said Anna Maria Jenkins Sydal intermarried with the said William Roberts party hereto and the said Joyce Jenkins Sydal intermarried with Vivian Stevens Quick of St Ives aforesaid Shipwright and died leaving only child, the said Daniel Sydal Quick party hereto and the said Mary Parker Sydal intermarried with the said James Flamank party hereto and the said Priscilla Flamank Sydal intermarried with John Richards of St Ives aforesaid Draper who is since dead. And whereas the said several persons parties hereto of the first part and have agreed with the said William Michael Jennings for the sale to him of the fee simple and inheritance of and in the hereditaments hereafter described and intended to be hereby assured at or for the price or sum of 120 pounds. Now this indenture witnesseth that in pursuance of the said agreement and in consideration of the sum of 120 pounds sterling to them the said several persons parties hereto respectively of the first part in equal proportions paid by the said William Michell Jennings upon the execution of these present the receipt thereof they the said several persons parties hereto respectively of the first part do hereby a respectively acknowledge and therefrom do and each of the them doth hereby release and discharge the said William Michell Jennings and his heirs and assigns for ever they the said William Roberts and Anna Marie Jenkins, his wife, Elizabeth Jenkins Sydal, Daniel Sydal Quick, Susan Forster Sydal, James Flamank and Mary Parker his wife and Priscilla Flamank Richards do and each of them doth hereby grant and convey unto the said William Michell Jennings his heirs and assigns all that messuage or dwellinghouse wherein the said Richard Jenkins lived situate lying and being in Street-an-Bolton within the borough of St Ives aforesaid bounded by the lands formerly of William Indgrove on the east with the lands formerly of Humphry Mackworthe Praed esq on the west with the lands then and of the late Earl of Radnor on the north with the lands late of the Duke of Bolton on the south together with the cellar under the same all which said hereditaments were afterwards in the occupation of Anna Marie Sydal widow daughter of the said Richard Jenkins be deceased together with all rights ways watercourses light drains sewers priveleges easements commodities and appurtances whatsoever to the said hereditaments be any part thereof belongings or appetaining or with the same or any part thereof now or heretofore held used or enjoyed or reputed as part or member thereof or appertuant thereto to have and to hold the same messuage dwelling house cellar lands tenement and all and singular othr the hereditaments herin before expressed to be hereby sold and conveyed with their right members and appertiances freed and discharged from land tax and all encumbrances save and except as hereinafter in excepted unto the said William Michell Jennings his heirs and assigns to the use of the said William Michell Jennings his heirs and assigns for ever to be holden of the high and chief Lord/Seal and Lords of the fee and fees of the aforesand granted messuage dwellinghouse cellar lands tenament and hereditaments if any such there be and by and under rents dues duties suits and services thereof heretofore anciently due and of right accustomed to be paid and performed for the same and the said William Michell Jennings hereby declares it that no woman who shall become his widow shall be entitled to dower in or out the same hereditaments and each of them the said William Roberts for himself and for said Mary Parker his wife and Priscilla Flamank Richards as to the equal undivided sixth part of and in the hereditaments expressed to be hereby granted and conveyed doth hereby covenant for himself and herself respectively and for his and her respective heirs executors and administrators with the said William Michell Jennings his heirs and assigns in manner following that is to stay notwithstanding any act deed or thing by the said several parties hereto of the first part or any fo them done or knowingly suffered the said several parties hereto of the first part now have full power and absolute authority to assure the same hereditaments unto and to the use of William Michell Jenning his heirs and assigns in manner aforesaid and further that it shall be lawful for the said William Michell Jennings his heirs and assigns at all times hereinafter peaceable and quietly to enter into and upon and to have hold use occupy and enjoy the said hereditaments and premises with their appertanancies and to receive and take the rents issues and profits thereof to and for long and their own use and benefit without any let suit trouble denial eviction ejection interruption or disturbance claim or demand whatsoever of from or by the said several persons parties hereto of the first part or any of them their or any of their heirs or any other person lawfully or equitably claiming or to claim through under or in trust for them or any of their heirs and that free and clear and freely and clearly and absolutely acquitted exonerated discharged or otherwise by the said several persons parties hereto of the first part their heirs executors or administrators well and sufficiently defended kept harmless and indemnified of from and against all and all manner of former and other estates charges and encumbrances whatsovever had done committed or suffered by the said parties hereto of the first part or any of them or by any person or persons claiming or claim under or in trust for them or any of them And moreover that they the said persons parties hereto respectively of the first part and each of them and all persons lawfully or equitably claiming as aforesaid will at all times at the cost of the said William Michell Jennings his heirs or assigns do and execute all such acts and assurances for further better or more perfectly assuring the said hereditaments unto and to the use of the said William Michell Jennings his heirs and assigns in manner aforesaid as the said W M J his heirs or assigns or his or their counsel in the law shall advise devise or require in witness whereof the said parties to these present their hands and seals have hereunto set the date and year. Indenture Dated 8th November 1899. The Anchorage Bunkers Hill St Ives

This Indenture made the 8th of November 1899 Between William Jennings of 39 Clova Road Forest gate in the County of Essex Accountant and John Jennings of Lanuva in the parish of St Ewe in the county of Cornwall farmer of the first part the said John Jennings and of the second part and William Francis Smith of Barnoon Terrace St Ives in the said county of Cornwall Plumber of the third part Whereas by an indenture dted the 28th of September 1867 and made between William Roberts and Anna Maria his wife Elizabeth Sydal Jenkins Spinster Daniel Sydal Quick Susan Forster Sydal Spinster James Flamank and Mary Parker his wife and Priscilla Flamank Richards widow of the one part and William Michell Jennings of the other part the hereditaments hereinafter described were conveyed unto and to the use of the said William Michell Jennings his heirs and assigns forever And Whereas by an indenture by way of voluntary settlement dated the 1st July 1882 and made between the said William Michell Jennings of the first part Margaret Jenning Spinster of the second part and the said William Jennings and John Jennings (thereinafetr occasionally referred to as “the said trustees and trustee”) of the third part After reciting (inter alia) that the said William Michell Jennings was desirous of making such provision for his daughter the said Margaret Jennings and for his other children as thereinafter appearing It was witnessed that for effectuating such desire and in consideration of the natural love and affection which the said William Michell Jennings had for his said daughter and children the said William Michell Jennings thereby appointed and granted unto the said William Jennings and John Jennings (inter alia) the dwellinghouse and hereditaments hereinafter described to hold the same unto and to the use of the said William Jennings and John Jennings and their heirs
