This transcript is provided by Margaret Owens with thanks. The bulk of the transcript to 1812 is taken from [Phillimore V3 1903] with reference to the original parish registers.
This is a transcript done by one person and will, inevitably contain errors. Researchers are always advised to consult the original registers.
The Phillimore transcript begins with this note of expanation…
Note—It is doubtful whether a satisfactory transcript could have been made of the St. Just Marriages if the Registers had not been in the custody of the transcriber, few Registers having suffered more from the corroding effects of time. The entries in the earlier volumes have been made with bad ink, which has, here and there, peeled off; the loose sheets of parchment, upon which the record was originally made, have been left, apparently for lengthened periods, unbound; while the handwriting is, in places, very bad. Under the circumstances, it is perhaps too much to hope that the following list is entirely free from error; it is, however, only right to state that no pains have been spared to render it as accurate as possible. The first volume, which measuers 12in. by 7in., contains Baptisms from 1630 to 1680, Marriages from 1599 to 1677, and Burials from 1599 to 1678. The Baptisms prior to 1630 are missing, as are also the Marriages and Burials from 1677 to 1681. The second volume, 12in. by 10in. records Baptisms, Marriages and Burials from 1681 to 1733. The third volume contains Baptsims and Burials from 1734 to 1783, and Marriages from 1734 to 1754. The remainder of the Marriages up to 1812 are preserved in the forms of Lord Hardwicke’s Act. The whole have been carefully collated with the Bodmin Transcripts for the present purpose. The parochial entries have been extracted and are printed by permission of the Rev. T. Taylor, Vicar of St. Just [who also did the transcript!].
