In the name of God Amne. This is the last Will and Testement of me John Hicks of the Parish of Saint Just in the County of Cornwall, Blacksmith.
First, I give, devise and bequeath unto my Dear Wife Elizabeth Hicks all and every my Freehold and Leasehold Messuages, Lands, Tenements, Hereditaments, and Premises, and all other my goods, Chattels, Monies, Rights, Credits, Property and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever , To hold to her and her Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns respectively, for ever, subject nevertheless to the payment of my just Debts and Funeral Expenses. And I do also hereby make nominate and appoint my said Wife Elizabeth Hicks the whole and sole Executrix,residuary Legatee and Devisee of this my last Will and Testament, utterly revoking and disannulling all former Wills made by me. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this Third day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven.

In the name of God amen the 30th. day of July 1608 I John Otts alias Watts of the Pish of St.Just in the Countie of Cornwall being sicke in bodie but in pfect mind and memorie (thank be to God ) doe make my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge.
Ffirst I bequeath My soule into the hands of Allmightye God and my body to the earth.
Item. I give and bequeath for my buriall and to the poor of this pish 3s-4d.
Item. I give to the poor mens box of Ludock 2s-0d

Item.I doe bequeath the residue unto Hercules, Earth and Grace my sonne and daughters the lease I hold from Sir Nicholas Halse knight for houses in the Churchtown of St.Just with the appurtenances therunto according to the true meaning of the ----- whom I bequeath and resign unto Margaret my wife during her life the one halfe and each with the Appurtenances of the lease I took of Mr.John Beavell Esquire and now hold from Sir Ffrances Godolphins heirs executors or assigns.
Item. I give bequeath and resign the other halfendeale with the appurtenances of the said lease I hold from Mr.John Beavell Esquire and now hold from Sir Ffrances Godolphins heirs executors and assigns unto John Otts my sonne, and after the decease of Margarrett my wife my sonne to have the whole of the said lease unto him his wife and children and their assigns according to the true meaning of the said lease, if the said John Otte my sonne and Margarrett his wife do quietly suffer Margarrett my wife to possess and enjoy her one halfe of the lease with the appertunances in Senar parish in Tremeder with Henry Chilazon now held with or otherwise Margarrett my wife to hold and enjoy the whole lease with the apputenances from the heirs executors and assigns of Sir Ffrances Godolphin during her life and after her decease the said lease wholly with the appurtenances unto John my sonne Margaret his wife and their children.

Item.The rest of all the goods in Boswedden or Churchtown
moveable or unmoveable not given nor bequeathed the one halfe
unto Margarrett my wife and the other halfe to John my sonne

In the name of God amen Richard Oates of the pish of St.Just in Penwith in the County of Cornwall Tynner being sicke of body but of perfect minde and memory made and declared his last will and testament nuncupative about the beginning of April in the yeare of our Lord 1662 as followeth.
Imprimus. He bequeathed his soule to God that gave it and his body to Christian buriall.
Item, He gave and bequeathed all his estate (being in reversion ) of a small tenement in St.Just aforesaid unto Richard Oates and Anthony Oates his children. All the rest of his goods he gave and bequeathed unto Alice his wife, whome he nominated and appointed to be his full and sole Executrix there being then and there present Anthony Worden, Thomas Worden and Anthony Worden Jnr. were there.
