Thanks to Andy who commented on my first Laguna posting, I now know how to reset the flashing spanner on the dashboard that tells me that it is time for a service. This is set to come up every 18,000 miles and some independent mechanics don’t know how to reset it.
With the key in the ignition (it doesn’t matter if the engine is running) press the button on the end of the stick to scroll through the trip computer settings. The one you want should have a static spanner and the number zero and is the seventh (and last) one from the start.
Now press the reset button on the dashboard and hold it in. After a few seconds it will flash and then reset to 18,000.
This is correct at least for my 2001 model.

Many thanks for that – only just realised that I have a trip computer – wondered where that had been hiding – no more flashing spanner for me.
Cheers

How do I set clock on laguna 2003
Hi Paddy, I don’t know about your specific model but mine has two recessed buttons below the clock. The one on the left is hours and the one on the right is minutes. That is the model with the clock and radio information in the pod on the top of the dash. Models with a SatNav there are probably different.
Hi m8 I just tried it on my 03 laguna, and it worked fine, really greatfull as that flashing spanner was driving me crazy, thanks again.
Worked a treat on my 2002 laguna cheers
thanks for that information, absolutely spot on.. My Laguna 57 plate sequence as described, just hold the button in to zero, then keep pressed and it resets to 9000 miles.. lights and warning gone, spanner gone.. Job done.. Great help
